The short version: We do not store your video URLs. We do not sell your data. We collect only the minimal analytics needed to run and improve the service.
1. Who We Are
VidSave Pro ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Steward Technologies Ltd, a software company. Our web service is available at www.vidsavepro.com.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you use VidSave Pro, you paste a Facebook video URL into our tool. We do not store this URL. It is sent to our secure processing server, used to fetch video metadata, and immediately discarded. We do not log, retain, or index any URLs you submit.
Automatically collected information
Like most websites, we collect standard web server log data, which may include:
- Your IP address (anonymised after 24 hours)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring website
- General geographic region (country/city level)
This data is used exclusively for aggregate analytics — to understand how many people use the service, which features are popular, and to diagnose technical issues.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (anonymised) to collect aggregate, non-personally-identifiable usage statistics. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Firebase App Check
Our web service uses Google Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA v3 to protect our APIs from unauthorised access. This involves Google's reCAPTCHA service analysing browser behaviour signals to generate a security token. This is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
3. Cookies
VidSave Pro itself does not set any first-party cookies beyond those required for session security. Third-party cookies may be set by:
- Google Analytics — for aggregate usage statistics
- Google reCAPTCHA — for security verification
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking certain cookies may affect the functionality of the service.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the VidSave Pro service
- Monitor and improve service performance and reliability
- Detect and prevent abuse, spam, or unauthorised access
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information to send marketing emails, build personal profiles, or sell to third parties.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party. We may share anonymised, aggregate data (e.g. "10,000 videos were saved this month") for business reporting. We may also share information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
Our service uses the following sub-processors:
- Google Cloud Platform / Firebase — server infrastructure and App Check security
- Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics
6. Data Retention
Video URLs you submit are never stored. Web server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes, after which they are permanently deleted. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely in aggregate form.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we collect minimal personally identifiable information, most requests can be fulfilled by simply clearing your browser's cookies and cache.

8. Children's Privacy
VidSave Pro is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
